I can still recall when Mr Howell kicked this slab bandit thing off, it was awesome to see it grow. I tell ya if I could only choose 3 baits to ever fish crappie again, it would be a texas toast slab bandit, medium size, a black and chartruese rocky top, and a creme lures little fishie in pearl white with spot. small size. Ive caught many fish on all 3.
Something abt those slab bandits though, seems like they want it so bad they try to pull the pole out of your hand. I think it resembles a pregnant minnow, and the crappie just annihilate them.

Other than some of Thermocline Lures and hand ties, Slab Bandits is all I use. Lots of colors and sizes. The larger size on a dropshot rig catch some dandy bass.

Crappie to 3.17 lbs., LM bass to 9 lbs., and flathead to 25 lbs.

I went there and it was 21 dollars for 4 bags of slab bandits

For dirty water that dirty deeds color combo is awesome, too many great color combos to list, also you can order custom colors for a bit more. Lane really saturates the colors and they are very vibrant.
