LFA did fish a team competition once a month. All of our tournaments, on the other Thursdays daytime during the month are draw. Members are always fishing with someone new thereby getting the opportunity to learn many techniques, baits, and places. We are are not capped and are always looking for new members to join our other 50+ mostly seniors.

Each team counts their best 10 fish caught between them. Of course all of the fish caught are measured on a Chek it Stik, recorded and then released. No fish are retained unless someone were to catch a SAL which has never happened. The overs we catch are released as well.

While members catch a fair share of Lake Fork overs, that is fish over 24", most of the bass are of normal size. For us everything 10" and over counts. Some days a little bass is what saves your day.

Today the Winds were blowing hard out of the north and with the big rain we just had the water temps dropped again and the fishing sucked. But fish were caught but the slots stayed away.

The fish that were caught today mainly came on plastics in the grass, c-rigs and rattle traps in 10' or less.

Jack White and Richard Morris were first with 16.48 LB on 10 bass anchored by Jacks' 1.92 lb. lunker.
John Berech and Don Cox were second with 10.37 LB on 6 bass anchored John's at 2.49 lb. lunker.
Grant Marsh and John Markos were third with 9.15 on 6 bass anchored by Johns' 1.82 lb. lunker
Charlie Abresch and Jackie Price were fourth with 8.24 on 7 bass anchored by Jackie's 1.42 Lb. lunker
Bill Ailes and Wallace Dyer were fifth with 8.06 on 5 bass anchored by Wallace's 2.88 lb. lunker.
Randy Steele had the 3.62 lunker of the day.

45 keepers were caught and most were small..
