If you make the effort to stay out of the hospital, you wouldn�t have to worry about not being able to sleep in the hospital.

Hospitals be like that. They need to pad those bills. They aren't feeding ya, to save money.

I hope they fix whatever you got and you can get out of there asap. Hang tough.

Call the nursing supervisor or the floor manager and tell them do not disturb fromm 11PM until 7AM ... make it clear! Tell them do not let your breakfast sit and get cold but wake you when it arrives!

These 2 SIMPLE requests can alleviate these complaints. Or you can do nothing but come to the OT and gripe about it.

Don�t forget that you can refuse any treatment or drug you don�t want.

I remember back in may finally going to sleep, i mean crashed out around 10 pm of my second day in the hospital. They woke me up at 11 pm to take a sleeping pill, i lol'd

If one chooses this option one needs to fill out an ironclad DNR. You can also leave against medical advice,if so, see the first sentence. Staff checks your vs, blood sugars, etc, etc based on doctors orders. Nurses cannot change those orders as it would be practicing medicine without a license The best route is to request the MD change the orders. Request the staff to wake you up when breakfast arrives.

Last time I was in it was the pain that woke me. During the day I could hit the morphine pump every 6 minutes. One nice thing was I did not have to worry about getting out of bed to pee because I had this little tube I just peed in to.
