For those that purchase guides to repair rods, where do you buy your guides from? Mudhole has a good selection, but its impractical to place an order to replace 1 guide that costs 1.50 with 6 dollars for shipping.

Have you tried the Barlows store in Richardson? May be worth driving over and picking up a selection of eyes and tips you could possibly need and just keep them at your house for when you need to replace one. Academy usually has some of the black fugi sets also.

He builds and repairs all of my rods with products from Mudhole.817-219-3049

I suggest Kevin Smith from Shamrock Rods. Took him four rods last week and had them done the next day. Very impressed with the quality of his work and costumer service met me on a Saturday to get them back to me and only charged like $40 bucks or so.
