I still say barring a crazy playoff run that Garrett is gone. Jerry is starting to feel it financially when Cowboys stop getting primetime slots etc.

I would say 60/40 barely miss the playoffs and he's back, 80/20 make the playoffs and would bet my first born he's safe with a playoff win.

Not that I agree with it but I am going to have to go along with what Jimmy Johnson said, Garrett is not going anywhere, the Jones family likes him a lot, they have a defense, a running game, they will go get them a receiver and should be a very good team, something along those lines.

Interesting. Barrah approved. I was a great fan of Barry. This finicky town crucified him. You mean the guy who inherted a two time championship team? Then acted like he built that team. Stoops would bring plenty of regular season wins, and plenty of big game loses. Fake News. He slapped JJ on the back in his first news conference when he said "I am just going to try and not screw it up.... and you damn sure hope so". JJ laughed. Maybe your Browns will win a SB some day.

The problem with Barruh was his long-standing unstable relationship with Troy
Barruh and his DL coach (John Blake) said some innacurate comments about Aikman to the media (notably Skip Bayless who ran with the comments and printed them in a book)
Troy was the leader and had the support of the other key leaders on the team, particularly Irvin (exemplified by the day Troy stood with Irvin in court)
Jimmy Johnson hardly ever left Cowboys headquarters; tirelessly planning/scheming their next opponent
Ill be kind and say that Barruh didnt have Jimmys work ethic or discipline; further weakening his role as an authoritative figure to the players

Jimmy quit. Burned out and got in a power struggle with the man writing the paychecks. Watch his football life. Switzer is in rare company in football. Love his personality as well as Jimmy. Troy has said the game he is most proud of is the NFC Championship against the 49r's they lost after a horrible start. But yep... lots of history with Jerruh, Jimmy, Berruh going back to their National Championship at Arkansas. Then Jerruh snatched Primetime. SB.
