I love it, but you would be hard pressed to make something worse for your body. Maybe deep fry some.

Depends how you make it. No cream cheese or sour cream and very little mayo. 2cents

My Mother made it with grated Velveeta, pimentos and Miracle Whip, then she added dill pickle juice. Damn it was good. I wish she was still here to make me some more.

Every batch of pimiento cheese I make is different from each other. Sometimes one or more of the following have found their way into a batch of pimiento cheese; pickled jalapeno peppers, sweet jalapeno, pecans, crushed pineapple, sweet/dill pickle relish, worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, Cajun seasoning, onion, or garlic. Cheese can be any hard cheese; pepper jack cheese cheddar, or mozzarella or a mix of any of them. About the only thing that has to go in is pimientos and bread.

I love it. You can make a sandwich by itself, add it to almost any kind of other sandwich and then grill it to make it melt, eat it with Ritz crackers or tortilla chips as a dip, etc., etc.

Next to Vienna sausages, pimento cheese is probably my favorite thing to eat. And this made me think of a wonderful creation. Vienna sausage, covered in pimento cheese and topped with tabasco sauce, between a triscuit. Oh my!

Love it, can't have it in the house because I'll eat it all in one day. I get some of it once or twice a year.

Price's Jalapeno is my go to with Braums a close second. Have to have crackers or Fritos Scoops to dip with. It was a life changer when Prince's quit making the garden vegetable pimento cheese.

Not sure Prices is the "cheap stuff". I've tried some store brands and didn't like them at all. But I did try some that was made "in store" at Central Market, thinking it would be great, and it was probably the worst I've ever had. Made one sammich and threw the rest away.

I like it and the Prices with jalapeos in it is great. The Kroger close to use to carry the one with jalapeos in it but has stopped for some reason. They also carry one every so often that has smoked Gouda that is great but cost about $7.99 10 oz.

We found out when we moved to Georgia that pimento cheese is a state hero here. Used in a lot of recipes and actually we love it.

I bet it was similar to the HeB one I bought. It had jalepenos in it, I was all excited as I get excited about stuff like this and tried it then trashed it. Horrible.

I grew up on this and olive loaf. Hated it then, hate it now. I think it was a form of punishment.
How can we screw up cheese for the kids.....oh I know put little nasty red things in it.... How can we make processed meat worse....Oh, I know put nasty little red things in it. AND!! lets not even remove them from the nasty little green things.

You musta been from a rich family, we had mayonnaise sandwiches and was glad to have'em. When we moved to Dallas and dad got a better paying job we got to experience ballony (phonetic spelling lol )sandwiches. In less than a year we were eating double decker bologna sandwiches. Still eat'em.

Everytime I think of pimento I think of olives. Then I think of martini and then I think of how good those martini soaked olives taste and that makes me thirsty.
So then I get to drinking and not even hungry for pimento cheese. So I never get to try any so I don't know how it taste.

My FIL and fishing partner always had pimento cheese and bolony sandwiches and Old Milwaukee beer in the boat. He worked for the old Strohs brewery. Good Times.

Yep. from the rich side of the tracks.bolt

Peanut butter was cheap back in the day and one jar would last a long time. Peanut butter & honey sandwich (honey was free) was a every day lunch. Sometimes the honey was replaced with grape jelly. The bread was always white bread.

I have a small jar of peanut butter that I bought back in 2012. I keep it around so that when I'm shopping and see peanut butter, I think, nope got some at the house. grin
