A local lake isn't known for its large crappie, but 10" is the expected size and the sunfish and perch are nothing to write home about but fun to catch. Water temperature is dropping and the bright green algae is starting to die, but lure color doesn't seem too important as long as the jighead used with the grubs is 1/24 and 1/16 oz. along with a grub length around 2".

The lures shown are composite creations using the parts of Crappie Magnet grubs, a Slider Worm tail and a prong tail from another grub.
47 fish caught, about 15 fish missed. Not a bad day.
