Power went out in North Plano/South Frisco today. I was stuck in an elevator for 48 minutes before the elevator company came along and unlocked/pried the doors and I crawled out. Any great elevator-napping stories among the OT?

I was trapped in an elevator in Las Vegas with 8 Elvis impersonaters .
really freaky , only lasted a few minutes, just glad they were not clowns , that would have been worse.

I had a job in college where part of my duties was operating a manually controlled freight elevator
When I got bored, I used to take the car up to the 25th floor, reverse direction, and bury the car into the elevator pit at full speed.
Classic!

About two years ago at the Westin, Park Central in North Dallas. Hotel was undergoing a remodel that was running a couple weeks late. House was packed for a Supernatural Con (my Wife made me go with her). Only about half the elevators on the property were working. After a big meet and greet session we are going back to the room. Elevator car had about 15 people on it. A couple seconds after the doors closed the car jolted hard and obviously wasn't moving. Waited a couple minutes, nothing. Opened the recess where the emergency phone should be and nothing was in there. No cell phone coverage in the elevator. After a few more minutes a couple people start to get panicky. I'm right by the doors and can tell we had only gone about a foot or two after the doors closed so I start trying to pry the doors open. They start to come open and someone else helped me get them open the rest of the way and hold them {by this time I had hit the emergency stop button}. Everyone else proceeds to get off the elevator with a little help from others. Security strolls up just as the last two of us are getting out and ask what was going on. Needless to say they weren't real happy with me.
