The wheels came off early last week and Houston was never really able to get anything going in a game where they were a slight favorite to win at Tennessee. This week the Texans get the Giants for their home opener. Both teams come in 0-2 after high expectations in the pre-season.
Last week Watson showed some flashes of his 2017 season, when he was on pace to break several rookie passing records, however, he still seems to be "aiming" the ball instead of just letting it fly and is still making rookie mistakes. The more troubling aspect from the loss last week was the defense. Despite Tenn not having their two starting tackles, Houston was unable to stop the run in short yardage situations and didn't generate much pressure against backup Qb Gabbert. The Texans will get Clowney back this week which should take some of the double teams off Watt and allow the defense to get some heat on Manning.
For the Giants, 1st round pick Shaquan Barkley looks like the real deal. He's elusive in open space and has the speed to take it to the house on any given play. Combined with TE Engram and WR Beckham the trio represent a serious threat to score from anywhere on the field.
This one opened at Hou -5.5 and quickly moved to -6. The Texans are gonna have to show some improvement on both sides of the ball if they want to get one in the win column this week. I think they get the W here, but after the field goal, and special teams woes last week, I'm not quite ready to lay 6.

I thought the Texans would be better then they are. Offensive play calling is predictable, no running game, defense is not much better they will be lucky to end the season 8-8. Right now I think we should be looking for a new head coach.

Ny had a great game plan today get it out of Eil's hand quick and let the WR's do the work, I know JJ had a great game but Giants had a good game plan.
