So the majority here who took the time to vote prefer to fish for five fish in a tournament but to watch the pros NOT fish for five in theirs... Lol, the irony... hammer

On a local level (non pro) how could you possibly get somebody to ride around with a
lot of us spares to weigh and record the fish

Yep, the format does NOT scale at the grass roots level, therefore it has a fundamental challenge.

We all have smart phones, one day we will have apps and scales so everyone can do MLF style. Keep mortality rates low.

I just don't want to change the way I fish.... I'm not always the best at finding numbers but I can usually grind out a limit.

The thing I don't get is there is a way to do both in a tourney but its never mentioned. I am working on putting together a higher entry fee tourney on Fork now and it will be done using the MLF format but with a twist. Its a team event where the exact same scale is provided to all teams as part of their entry fee. There are 2 separate prize pools which teams can win in both. There is a total weight pool and a best 5 pool. Both will pay 10 places.

There are no boat officials and instead we plan to polygraph both pool winners and 2 random teams that cash so we hope this eliminates the thoughts of someone trying to cheat because we will polygraph 20% of the check cashers.

PBT could do this exact same thing but with officials if they wanted. And since the scores are update live, you could actually choose the path you want to attack for the day and to me that would make things VERY interesting.

Ok well mabey not the most, but they could give truck drivers a run for their money anyway. nuts

Fishermen couldn't hold democrats a light when it comes to " opinionated grudge holding people on the planet". Watch about 30 minutes of CNN or MSNBC and you'll agree. thumb
