Not sure how this happened but I have been in reverse with brakes on and forgotten it was in reverse. Time to move forward let off brakes and go to give it gas. I do not panic just get back on the brakes and shift into drive hoping no one seen it which every one has. If she panicked she could of thought she was rolling back and gave it more gas. Im not nervous at the boat ramp. I think during tournaments there should be weight added to your sack for the ones who can load the boat the quickest.

I can't tell you the number of times I have helped back in a trailer on LL. It's usually the dude in the boat yelling at the woman driver, who has never backed in a boat. They panic and quickly get upset when trying to back in, so I can see this happening, and about par with the course...

So what exactly are we looking at in the water? I cant tell if that is a boat or a vehicle. Thats the floating back end of an Infiniti sedan and trailer. She thought she was in drive when she went to pull back up the ramp...it didnt take long at all for the car and trailer to float away and sink completely. Hasn't been mentioned but I'm assuming the lady got out of the car safely. The car, trailer and jet ski's can be replaced.

My wife has a QX80 Infinity that I pull my boat with occasionally and it pulls it better than most half ton pick ups. It has a 5.6 liter in it and is very easy to back down the ramp.

Friends sister had a VW Bug, she was home alone one day and couldn't get it started, she remembered how her brother & I push started the car one time and tried it herself, went right through the living room of their house.

Hmmm, no way that squared off part (90 degree corners) is a car or a boat. What is it?

Never a dull moment here on Lew. I watched her dunk it as I was backing my trailer down the ramp. She was really shaken up but not hurt.

If you can't find em wind em.

I dont get it when people do this mistaking the gears thing. You drive a vehicle every day. Park, reverse, natural drive. It doesn't change. Yeah everyone has a brain fart from time to time I just dont understand this one. Shifting from park to another gear should be a muscle memory. Heck my wife did something like this when she was 18 I'm told. Instead of reverse she was in drive hit the gas trying to leave the house and drove into their living room. Everyone still gives her heck for it. I still ask her how in the world she managed to mess up the gears. I have backed a boat in the water probably a thousand times in my life and last year I accidentally left my truck in reverse when I got out to load my boat on the trailer. Very fortunate for me the parking brake held. Accidents happen and can happen to anyone. I am glad she got out OK.
See you on the lake and have a great day!

You will learn the hard way car backing trailer down the ramp when the water is low as it is. You have to back to fare out to unload, you can get water in that rear end it does have a vent, I lost one in 1980 Grand Prix in 1980 that hurt not cheap.

You've got people walking off and leaving infant strap in the car seat in 100+ tempt, nothing surprise me anymore. Here lately I've observe lots of Jet Ski and Ski Boat on plane going underneath bridge towing skiers and kids on tubes, REAL STUPID.
