I took a father and son out for a two day trip on Lake Travis this past weekend. We caught about 20 bass the first day and 10-15 the second day. Fish were positioned within the first 1/3 of the creeks. Productive structure on points was 45 degree banks with chunk rock. Bait clouds were present at each waypoint and the bass were suspended for the majority of the day off the ends of the points. Effective presentations were carolina rigs and suspending jerk baits. In the first few hours of the day, when fish were roaming, swim baits worked well.

A couple fish were on the larger side. We got one to the boat that was about 5 pounds or so. A couple were in the 2-4 pound range. Most everything we caught was over 14 inches.

You bet, yeah keying in on seasonal trends and quality habitat should help with that. Also, you might try fishing bigger baits.
