Hi folks,
Looking for a pretty simple setup and thought I would ask some folks that have been down this road. Here's what (I think) I'm looking for:
- Side imaging
- 7 inch preferred, 5 will probably work
- prefer to keep it under $500
- new (if possible for that $$ ??) or used
I'll be using it for:
- 16 foot Xpress with a 25 on it - nuthin fancy fish
- my 20 acre pond that has tons of submerged cover - not a lot of structure. We've started to pull some good fish out of it after 6 years of work/stocking/etc.
- Rare trip to a "big lake" for an attempt at Stripers/sandies

I've started looking at the classifieds and googlin what I find there. LOTS of options and I'd appreciate some advice towards a "basic" setup. Head's spinnin' a little.
Thanks in advance...
If anyone has something that fits that description for sale, ping me.

Garmin StrikerPlus 7sv - $500

7 inch screen
Sonar, ClerrVu (their downscan) and SideVu
Gps plotter - allows you to see your trail and save waypoints but does not have any built in maps. Only way to view contour maps on the graph is to use the Quickdraw contour feature and create your own map using the sonar readings from the graph. This basically turns your graph into a survey boat

The StrikerPlus sonar is really easy to use as well. Very easy user interface
