Anyone like them? Any Issues.?

Ordered one off of Amazon, took it out of the box, spun it one time, put it back in the box and returned it. JUNK!

I use Abu and Shimano, but a friend of mine has a couple he used to really like....until he went fishing with me and used my Abus and Shimanos.

My 13 year old purchased 2 Kastking spinning reels for his personal use. A year later, he is still using them. For the money, they are not bad.

These clones will not hold up to the every day grind of the originals which they were modled after. JMHO...


Personally, I will continue to use my Penn and Shimano spinning reals. I use Ambassadeur baitcast reals. In addition, I can purchase parts for my reels when they need maintenance or repair. The last time I checked, the Kastking reals were just disposable.

I've been using a Centron spinning reel for a year. It's amazing for a $20 reel. Leaps and bounds better than my Shimano Sienna.

It's okay compared to higher end reels.

Even saying that, I'm hesitant to buy one of their casting reels.

I had the chance to reel in a 5lb striper on a Kastking Reel and the play in the handle under load is outrageous!

Never could see why anyone bought one

one can probably get them for free, if you shill them on youtube, fb,etc. lol!
