We went back in April, fished it on one of the last cold days of the year. We were all in kayaks/one canoe. A super lake for those sorts of vessels to wiggle in and out of the stumps.
Stumpy? Yes, so from a bass boat, be careful.
Many do very well fishing up near the bridge but the whole lake is chock full of bass in all the expected places. Friends caught quite a few in the 5 to 8 lbs. range in several locations, one of the kayak anglers just more or less parked out at the bridge and had a super weekend.
I'd just use your best confidence baits using those you'd use to target larger bass. One recent video had a couple of pro anglers using top waters. Gosh, if they are hitting on them, hang on tight!
Nice area. You'll love it. We are planning a return trip in October or so.
Small park entry fee, nice clean place.

Been catching them in 8 to 10 feet of water with plastics in the trees. Caught a few top water early and late but mostly plastics.

I am in line with Brad R. I will fish Naconiche in the Fall. When it gets hot, I like to drop the Merc and spin around the lake. When you get back into the stumps, you can't just come flying out.

If that is the lake Timmy Horton won his round on for MLF I'd crank the old roadbed with a 5/6XD!

Fished it during that heatwave a few weeks ago. Thermocline was right at 15 feet, making most of the roadbeds a no-go. That may have changed though.
Didn't really establish a solid pattern so cant help much there. Caught a few dinks on a shakey head and a decent one on a c-rig.

One "other" interesting tidbit to pass along: watch out for falling trees. It seems it was Benny H's bros-in-law who was in his kayak, had one fall very close to him.
So, when we were out there, sure enough, we heard a loud noise as one came down. We didn't see it but the sound of a falling tree is hard to miss. We were in a cove.
I believe I read another account of this. It must be that since the lake was impounded, then later opened, that many of the trees are just at that "rotting" stage after "X" years where they topple over. You will see quite a lot of trees lying on their sides.
