Yeah, I getting a hankering to build a couple good cat rods, but I want a couple good reels. Aside from your Abu reel, have any of you used the Shimano Cardiffs?

I used them growing up for bass fishing and they always worked great.

I had one set up on a proangler. That was my favorite setup, cast was so good and out casted my abu's.. can't go wrong with a shimano.. that's my opnion.

opinion. i ain't mistaken, I think little John's guide service out of tawok switched over to them. Might want to ask his opinion, I know they have to put them under alot ot stress. I read it or saw it on one of there videos.
