Any of you guys using icon meals?
Ive finally accepted the fact Im not going to cook every Sunday and do meal prep for a week at a time. I end up getting so busy I make up lunch on the fly which usually means fast food. I need to be more prepared and proactive. So Im experimenting and just ordered a weeks worth of meals. At $7 to $8 a meal its less than Im spending now on fast food.
Anyone else use it?

I dont know that impressed would be the right word, but Im pleasantly surprised. Food is much better than I thought. With no preservatives it has to be eaten or frozen within a weeks time. So'i will order weekly. A guy at work is familiar with it and pointed out I could scan it with my fitness pal app and it would save all the macros right into my daily meal counter. This makes it extremely easy and solves all the dieting issues Ive had before...)what foods to buy, which meals to cook and how much to eat per day. Seems like something I can do long term and feel ok about it www.iconmeals.com

My logic on the meal prep thing and it's not a shot at anyone at all but if you dont make time for it chances are you will not make time for the other parts of trying to live a healthier lifestyle. Eating right, exercising and taking better care of yourself. Reality is being healthy especially in regards to trying to lose weight requires a time commitment. Everything you do is based off what you eat. You cannot outwork a bad diet. Take the time to prep and stick to those meals and you will see results.
It ain't easy but it's more than doable.

Did you know, that if you have to cave to fast food, that a 12 count nugget at Chik-Fil-A is only is only 210 calories!!!! The cobb salad is only 510 and has nugget bites.
I travel a ton and Chik-Fil-A is my crutch when i have to stop. Most times I get the 8 count nugget (only 140 calories) to get me through until I can find a healthy meal or get home to cook for myself.
Now, stay away from the fries and the sauces and go with unsweet tea or water.

We've used a woman here who offers a meal prep service before and I wasn't too impressed, everything seemed really cheap, and skimpy on the meat. We meal prep a few meals, maybe 4 a week. This summer has been crazy so we haven't done it as much as we were back in the spring/winter, but it sure makes things easier.

My meal prep has become intermittent fasting, roughly 80% of the time. = eating for roughly an 8-hour span per day, usually 2-10 weekdays, and 10-6/7 weekends.
Less hungry Actual stomach shrinks ...resulting in eating and craving less, especially sugar waste and overall body thins clothes fit better, some "too" loose, but that's way better than too "tight" I feel better about me, which is sorely needed

...------ I have been IF for 4.5 months now. It freakin' works! I do 16:8 and am very strict Monday-Friday. On the weekends, I do whatever I want. I also am low carb and low(er) fat. So chicken, fish and veggies during the week. No bread, pasta, potatoes or rice. Down 40 pounds, tons of fat gone and went from a tight 36" pant to a 30.

I feel better for sure. Lost about 120lbs total. Its staying off just fine. I still eat right and workout on a regular basis. It's just part of my life now. Thanks for the words.
