It amazes me that stores and restaurants advertise and sell them. Trash fish used for bait.

I tried some store bought. Breaded and deep fried they had no flavor at all. They ended up in the burn barrell.

Have you ever been to a tilapia farm? No?
I have.
I'll never eat it again. Ever.
I'll paint the easy picture.
They are raised in cages. Five layers deep. Hung from cables.
The fish on top get the fish food pellets.
The rest get what's processed by the fish on top.

Exactly the way chickens are raised for the store food

My friend visited his ancestral home in the Phillipines. He said every one in the rural areas had small stagnant ponds that was home to tilapia for food. I for one would like to think this extends to Viet Cong and is a stellar use of all those bomb craters.

Wild caught is ok. I don't eat any farm raised seafood, fish, shrimp, so on.

Maybe this has been asked before, but what's with the spelling style, or lack thereof
