So my ac has gone out. I am told to change capacitor first. I was able to give the fan a push and it started running again but when I got home the whole unit was not working. I called Greinger this morning and they were able to find the capacitor no problem other than there were two different ones one was circle and one was oval. I wasnt sure at the time what it was so I told them Id call back this afternoon to order it after I found out. Well the four guys Ive talked to this afternoon cant seem to find it now. All I gave the guy this am was the model # from the unit and the voltage #s. Come on tff can yall pull one out yalls arse? There are no part numbers or voltage numbers on the capacitor.

Inside the unit on the backside of the cover panels, is there a schematic diagram? If so, the cap voltage and rating should be on there. Clean that thing up with fantastic or something and look closer on it. It looks like a double cap, start and run perhaps. Did it have a wire on each terminal?

There was 3 wires one wire going to each terminal.

There was 3 wires one wire going to each terminal. You'll still have to order. The Grainger in Arlington is better than the one in ft worth.

Drodge, those capacitors are real cheap if you buy it right, like diamonds.. Little mom & pop shop on Division called ABCO appliance parts.. I bought a capacitor for under 30 bucks and that is high I was told.. I also bought a fan motor there when mine went out 80.00 bucks any one else wanted between 300-400 dollars to replace it. Took me 30 mins max.. Give them a call tomorrow or really just run it by the old guy will know what it is and I'd bet he has one on the spot.. 1758 W. Division Arlington 76012 817-460-2626
