Colorado has that idiotic 10 round mag capacity law.
Sure would suck to go to jail for having the wrong mag.

You should have no issues taking it but it is a whole different story bringing it back with a few pounds of Mary Jane stuffed in the same duffel bag.
Good luck.

Like mentioned, Colorado does offer reciprocity with Texas CHLs.

yes the law is still in place but I doubt you would ever even get a ticket because its only on mags made and bought in Co after 2013. http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2018/01...ipe-for-repeal/

There are no border checks going into New Mexico or Colorado. You just drive past the welcome sign without stopping. It's no big deal. Guns are still legal there. I always stop at the first police station and show them my passport. They think it is funny. I would handcuff you and beat you with my flashlight.

I have 30 round mags all over my house. Stores even sell them, but they just sell them un-assembled as "kits".
