I live less than 20 min from Athens and while it is a nice fishery it is not "Easy" to catch 8lbers all day. Go to that lake on a Wednesday after 8am and see how far you have to park from the ramp this time of year it gets tons of pressure so you better be on your A game to catch the 8+ lb fish.

if I had video proof of catching 8lb fish all day id post it too.

maybe I should be ashamed of cashing that $700 check from the mega bass on fork this year from the 2lb 6oz fish I caught!!! lol nah I don't feel bad at all and neither did the guy with the 2.8lb who got the $15k check. if the 8lbers were so easy why didn't you show up and cash one of those big checks??

Well said. I have seen his vids and have watched for a couple of years now. I can just see the old timers getting the camera out and thinking I can get an #8 SAL as soon as I hit the record button.

I've never said I caught 100's of 8 pounders in whatever timeframe. I, personally, have only caught 4 over 8 this year. One prefishing and three during tournaments. Latest 2 was last weekend. Shame too...had to cull one of them to weigh one that was 1 oz heavier. The slot lake blues.

You, sir, sound just like the whiney guys in these local tourneys I fish. Since they OBVIOUSLY lack the ability to catch fish and win, it MUST be impossible. I must be very lucky. I have won the last three weekends, in three different lakes.

Truth is....they really just aren't very good with a fishing pole. Lol.

I'd post pictures of the wall my wife has made for me....up on Bassmasters stage, with Mercer by my side.....and then pictures of the checks made out to me by Bassmaster.....but then you, or one of the other no fishing pole using guys here would want proof that the picture is actually of me.....and the name on the checks are actually me.....etc.
