I'm curious as to why Wheeler isn't being DQed for how he is bed fishing right now. He's standing on a dock with his other foot holding his boat preventing it from floating away. The rules say you have to keep the majority of your weight in the boat at all times and it's evident Wheeler isn't doing that since he only has his toes dragging his front deck. I know Wheeler plays fast and loose with the rules, but why do they let him do it with everyone able to see it?

If he's DQ'd, I would think it would be after weigh-in today.

Probably not an issue unless he catches one while his weight isn't on the boat

It's OK I don't understand why it is though, it's clearly helping him catch fish since he isn't spooking the fish by using his trolling motor while sight fishing. They even mentioned the majority of the weight thing, but you could see by how he was standing that his weight was on the dock instead of his boat.

If they felt he was breaking a rule they would DQ him. They didn't so obviously he is not doing anything wrong. They know their rules better than you.

Sounds like trespassing to me if it is a private dock. Id never consider putting a foot on a dock. I may push off to keep my boat from banging dock, but would never step foot on one.

During the competition days, competitors must not depart the boat to land fish or to make the boat more accessible to fishing waters. Competitors may not shift a majority of their weight outside the boat and onto a dock or other object outside the boat for the purpose of landing a bass or accessing a fishing spot. In what way is Wheeler within any reasonable interpretation of that rule? People twist rules as much as possible to justify something that isn't permitted in any reading of the rules. I'm guessing you think Wheeler's shenanigans with guides a few years ago were all well and good too?

He is simply holding a foot on a dock to keep boat off of it. If that is trespassing then most people who fish will be guilty. Everyone has grabbed a dock to hold to get a lure unhung.to keep from hitting it etc.
