Use KVD line conditioner if your like me and don't get your line stretched enough. I use Seaguar InvizX and I really like it. When it starts to get too much memory use the line conditioner

I don't get it either. I get more bites than mono or braid and that's all I care about. I use the knot that Mark Pack says to use. The double san diego jam knot and it is almost unbreakable. I use Berkley 100% flouro and it is some strong stuff. I use mono on topwaters and braid on a-rig and frogs. Simple.

I would say I fish more than the average fisherman, at least twice a week and tournaments every other weekend for 6 months out of the year. I buy 5 1,000 yard spools of fluorocarbon each year. I buy braid every other year or every three years. I don't buy any other line.

What exactly don't you like about Fluoro?

I have read about line conditioners, I don't use them. A lot of different knots out there, I use the palomar, without any issues. I don't have any knot failures but I do tie it the same way every time and I see a lot of people tying improperly. When it's tied correctly wetting the knot is not really necessary but I will wet it maybe 50% of the time. Larger line diameters I wet and smaller I don't but that's not a hard fast rule for me.

I only buy Seaguar but I've heard great things about Sunline and other brands.

10, 12 and 15 I use Invizx
17 and 20 I use Abrazx

That's it, no magic, no special knot, no line conditioners, I don't "change it frequently" but will change it when it gets down on the spool after a ton of use. I have about 30 combos with different brands of rods and reels and they all fish it about the same, so no special equipment being used either.

I would be interested in hearing what you don't care for about it because it's a head scratcher to me to try to understand what the problem is?

This is my opinion to the exact point. All I use is fluorocarbon and braid. I re-stock every December with 1,000 yard spools of Invisex from Tackle Warehouse when they have them at 35% off. I only change out the line on my reels when the memory gets too bad or about 2-3 times per year per reel. I use braid for all top waters. And just like this poster, I tie nothing but the Palomar knot for all applications and never break at the knot.

Not much to add to that, you nailed it.

I think a lot of folks new to fluoro may not understand that when you backlash, and most will until they get used to the different casting characteristics, if you pull it hard and make that "V" in the line (kink it), it's toast most of the time. It will break on the next cast or next fish most likely. Also, leaving a loose loop on the spool, to where you hear the line slapping it when you cast, the line is getting damaged and there's another failure point. Knots are super critical.

100% of my cranking and jerking is fluoro. Anything from 10 lb Sniper to 20 lb Bass Pro Fluoro.

Braid for flipping and frogging, if I see the need for a fluoro leader for flipping, it's 30 lb Seaguar Fluoro, the 25 yard spool in the salt water section for my heavy stuff, 25 lb sunline reaction for the lighter stuff.

Buzz baits, Shower Blows, Whopper Ploppers, and other big tops, braid unless the water's too clear, then it's 20 lb P line CXX. Ricos are on 12-15 lb P Line CXX depending on cover.

Everyone has their line preferences, and confidence is everything in fishing. Every style of fishing I do other than topwater, I need every bit of sensitivity I can get, and mono or co polymer just doesn't provide the feel I need.

Keep the Lord in your heart and keep your powder dry.

I like it and have been using it for the last two years but it sure did cost me at the Big Bass Splash...had one about 8lbs on and line broke right at the spool and broke my heart with it.

I do exactly the same on all counts, although I don't throw an A-rig. I love the Berkley 100% fluorocarbon.

1. Memory
2. Any kink from a "professional overrun" will break
3. Have to be so careful with knots
4. Expense

And i've used Invizx....

Love Invizx, but if you have a "Professional Overrun" and crimp the line at all bite the bullet and respool right then , other than that it's just like everything else , learn to take care of it and take care with your knots

I love lighter weight fluorocarbon line in the 6 to 10 lb range. Once it gets up around 15 and especially 20 lb, I have serious problems with my knots popping on me.

Fluoridation is a Communist plot!

I like Invizx, it has never let me down. I also like P Line Halo but it is more expensive than Invizx and has more memory but it is really strong.
