People been leasing pastures forever, can't imagine where you would come up with the idea that gives them claim. Put it in writing, typically fence maintenance is on them. We have given credit for initial fence repairs on the first year of lease in past.

Not livestock related but there's been a few cases here where neighbors "adjusted" their fence lines and gained control of others' land . Relatively speaking , I'm an "old" and I don't want to be taken advantage of . Call me paranoid but I like covering all bases .

One of the elements of adverse possession ("squatting") is whether the use is "hostile" to the landowner. Use of land under a valid written lease is not hostile.

Thanks . I probably won't do it . Even if he DID sign it there's always the "language barrier" excuse . wink

Get yourself an authentic Greek to do the job properly.

Have I ever mentioned that my mother was born in Greece?

I'll call you when the range war starts . cheers

1. Doubt it
2. Yes you are there is insurance for this.
3.No but he needs to sign a contract saying he will keep your fences up. I lease for cattle and charge 15.00 per head a month and the lessor has to keep my fences up in good repair.
4. Sheepand lamb meat sucks. Feed it to the dogs.
