To compliment my write-up; all my big Bass out of the trees and the river channel humps have come on a worm that Barlow's Tackle sells. It is a 7" ring worm with a wide gator tail. When fishing the forks of the trees in 10 to 15 ft. I use Braid and Trig. in 1/2 oz so the worm makes a fast fall vertical into the tree. When I am casting to the hump between the trees I use a Short Crig. with the same worm at 1/2 oz. also tied braid to braid.

Submerged trees on channels can hold some great fish.
I always found the key was dropping the bait straight down the trunk. Feed the lure line as it sinks and watch your line.
Great pattern in post spawn.

"..The pleasantist angling is to see the fish
Cut with her golden oars the silver stream,
And greedily devour the treacherous bait.

Single cab long bed truck tires are the most productive.
