Bass fising tips

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum but fish a lot for bass and catfish. anyone have any tips as to where to locate largemouths at this time of year, been struggling all winter to catch them. any help would be great, fishing joe pool on Saturday!

planer1, I just fished Joe Pool Monday and found a 7 lbr off a point in about 8' of water. It looks like the bass are starting to stage up before heading in. I saw and got nothing in the shallows of coves. Until the water gets closer and consistently near 60 degrees, I don't think shallow will produce bass. Good luck

thank you for the information and I will def use that this weekend, I just got my first boat on Saturday of this past week and fished grapevine on Monday and not even a bite. I fished shallow at first with creature baits and jigs, then went to 12-18 feet with crank baits and rattle traps and still noting. So I really appreciate the advice, was thinking of fishing lake Arlington because of water temp always pretty warm but haven't been there in years
