Only time I didnt leave a note is when i backed into my wife's car, shattering her passenger side window.

I just fled the scene to pick up my wife from work and my son from daycare without even thinking.

Then thought about it after. Was praying nobody at the busy apartment complex called the police and reported a hit and run.

We put up a big Christmas light display this year at a residence. So we had two trucks and trailers parked in front of the house. As it was getting close to dark, i was visiting with the husband out front as we had turned everything on to just review it. His wife was backing out of the driveway and we hear a loud crunch. He says no f�in way and we turn around to see she has backed into his car he parked across the street from the driveway. He yells at her and she says she got distracted by looking at the pretty lights even though she has a newer car with sensors and cameras. I made a point of wrapping up quickly and getting out of there.

Here is a twist though. My wife had a note on it just 6 months after she got her almost new Mercedes. She was at the mall and someone left her a note on her windshield that they had dented her passenger side door when the wind blew it out of their hands. They said they were sorry.
Thing is thats all the note said. Evidently there were other people around so they put the note on the windshield thinking people would think they were leaving their contact info. I agree. They were sorry.

Wonder how many notes are left with a wrong phone number?

I left a note once. The guy called and begged me to just settle it between me and him without insurance or a police report. I don't think he wanted his wife to know he was at that motel. I got out cheap but I probably should have made some money off him.

I used to pull my boat about 3 times per week, never saw the need to remove it
