Have recipe I am going to try Sunday. Does not specify fresh or pickled. It is for breaded and baked. I think fresh would be best. Thoughts?

Fresh only. To cut down on some of the heat, sprinkle some salt inside the pepper, let it sit for a while, then rinse it off well.
