IMPORTNAT EVENT INFORMATION NORTH TEXAS DIVISION The event at Ray Hubbard on 02/10/2018 has been moved to Texoma on 02/10/2018 at Highport Marina. This was due to a over booking, out of our control at the other lake. With short notice of this we had few options on places to move the event to. Sorry for any inconvenience this might cause. It is harder to move events and get permits on our end then you might think. We really dont like to move events, but we had no other options on this event. Please get the word out to all your teams. Thank you for understanding, Matt Tolnay

What exactly does 'over booking' mean? Checking the 'Tournament Finder' and found that there are no other tournaments on Ray Hubbard scheduled. Not trying to 'ruffle feathers', just needing to know what 'over booking' means.

No, worries. We had the weigh in scheduled at Rockwall Heath high school and they had another event booked for the same day and told us that they had to cancel ours. We called Rockwall HS and they said No , reached out to Rowlett and couldnt get a return phone call. Chandlers landing has told us in the past that the event is too large to have there. With the size of the field and spectators the only place to have it is at a HS, which we did last year and was perfect. So we booked the same and then they came at us and told us they gave it to another event.

Thank you Ken! I completely understand. I did this more for others so they would understand what is going on. It is a shame that the high school anglers don't get the support from the schools like other high school sports (ie, football, etc.). I sure because it doesn't generate a revenue like the other sports is one reason, but you know it is all about the kids in the end. Thanks again for your response and we will keep growing this sport to supply the kids with another avenue for college and scholarships!!
Stay warm and tight lines!!

No problem at all. Sometimes it is out of our control.
