Native Watercraft did an abysmal job promoting this new vessel, almost no pre-release videos to whet the appetites of kayak anglers in the market for a new ride. And, it was late. But, it is here. Well, one thing that really surprised me is the price point: $2499. I thought it would dial in at least $300 to $400 more. As it is priced, it is only $100 more than a Slayer Propel 10. Pros will be that this kayak will be carried easily in most truck beds without a bed extender. And, at 37.5" beam width with a blunt end - meaning it is wide for a long stretch - it is going to be a very stable stand up candidate. Add a cheap TM mount and you can operate a small TM from directly in front of your seat. I like the new seat arrangement where it is connected to the floor. It has plenty of space for storage and various mounts. According to Greg Blanchard, his video URL is attached below, it paddles much better than its big brother, the Titan 13.5. And, at least with the after-market rudder, I haven't ever seen a kayak turn tighter. That's a big deal for anglers. What next? A 12 footer Titan is due out in early 2018 so one will have 3 sizes to consider. Potential customers might want to wait and see. I bet there are more than a few 13.5 Titan owners who'd prefer the smaller 10.5 (actually 10'9"). Greg does a good job reviewing his new 10.5 in a limited amount of time before it got dark. He will post more over the next year. $2499 for a pedal driven kayak is quite aggressive in pricing. The 10.5 is 36 or so pounds heavier than a Propel 10 so it has more material costs. I hope we see a new trend develop. Worth a watch. Brad Greg Blanchard's Titan 10.5 Video

I agree. Good review. The more kayaks we have the better. It certainly isnt a candidate for my type of fishing but i can definitely see its benifits to bass guys or fly guys. I love to see kayak companys trying new designs and things to help further our sport.

Agreed. The more the merrier I suppose. It adds a bit of confusion. Restaurants often put too many choices on their menus (according to consultants in that industry) and it causes heads to spin. But, like Christian mentioned, a nice vessel but not for him, we usually know how to narrow our choices down based on how and where we fish. But, we can still appreciate those that don't work for us.
My biggest surprise is the price. Gosh, this is a trend I hope we see where, finally, enough competition emerges so that pricing must be aggressive to sell units. If you go back not that long ago, Hobie had most of the fishing kayak market in the pedal/drive arena and oh how they were priced aggressively for that exclusivity. And, after market add-ons? Plastic has rarely ever found a niche where it could exploit high pricing so much.
Here's hoping we see more and more pedal offerings down nearer the 2 grand level . . . than the 4 grand level! And, it'd be nice to see paddle kayaks in the 1 grand area.
