Going from Temple to Crockett this weekend and would like ot know if there are any good crappie stops along the way or near Crockett? I will be fishing from the bank, no boat this trip.

Houston County Lake is in Crockett. Heck of a place to fish. Not so much sure as to where you can bank fish.

I suppose you could try the Lock & Dam on Hwy 7 bolt

Can you still even get to that, Wasn't sure if all the high water messed up any of that area? I haven't been by there in years.

I wouldn't waste your time at the lock n dam. Went by there thanksgiving and didn't have any luck. Maybe this spring will get them back on track but it's been bad for a couple of years now. Lake limestone is about 45 minutes away and they have a marina with a dock that usually produces pretty good this time of year. Good luck.
