Question and input from the experts. I haven't had my boat long so my question is do you guys run your boats in freezing weather? I have a Yamaha 70hp 4 stroke and always trim it down at the ramp and when I get home I trim it down and leave it that way until I get ready to fish again. I've heard damage can happen if water in the lower unit freezes. My boat has to sit outside (tarped). Just wondering how can I be sure all the water is out or how to make it safe to fish during cold weather periods. Input and advice appreciated.

Just what your doing by trimming it all down plus check your lower oil for water periodically.
