Go for it Mike, my first Skeeter was this exact boat that you are looking at, I'm on number 12 now! The 1998 zx202c was also the 50th Anniversary boat. Loved that first "bug" boat, caught lots of fish out of her on Falcon. She was sold twice and then stolen and recovered and now sold to another owner, she has been through a lot. If you have any questions, send me a PM or email me.

From your past boats I think you will be very happy with how stable the boat is as you or a partner move around while fishing. Loved the deck lay out and the fishability the boat offered. Only reason I sold the boat was to get a SHO and single console boat.

If you're OK running a 200 go for it. Otherwise buy one a few years newer equipped with a 225.

Not exactly. They changed the hp rating during the 2000 model year. I have an early 2000 Team model that's rated for a 200. Frank the Tank had a later 2000 model that had a 225 rating. So the 225 rating came before it was changed to the ZX225. Just sharing what I know about the model since I have one and did a fair amount of research.

For the OP, the model is a fine boat for that vintage. I like the storage, layout, and stability while fishing. There are better rough water boats, but it will do fine.

Yes, and in 01 the boat became a ZX225. I was commenting on the hulls being the same design...not whether the model designation or hp rating changed first. But thanks for the correction thumb

So overall it sounds like it was a pretty good boat? Ive always like the fishing platform a Skeeter had...

Mike, I had a 1997 ZX202C. One of the best boats I've ever owned. People that say it's not a good rough water boat don't know how to drive in rough water.

Mike, it's pretty much a consensus, it's a great all-around boat and a fantastic fishing platform. Pull the trigger, you won't be sorry. Wish I had mine back.

I have a 1999 Champion. Boat and outboard are solid. Texoma salt rusted out my steel trailer. Just got a new aluminum trailer from McClain in Houston. Ready to roll for another 17 years.
