Probably not too many believe me, but most of the lures I cast usually catch at least three fish species if not more in the same lake or pond. Here are a few examples of what I caught today: (The cat was over 10lbs.) It also caught a crappie but no photo. Same lure - five species on the same day. Some lures are far more universal than others and those are the ones I like to use.

Very impressive. I bet that catfish was a pretty good fight-especially if you were fishing light line.
I haven't caught that many different species on plastics. I have caught multi species on black and blue jigs-but not all on the same trip!

I always catch at least three species on one soft plastic lure rigged on a light ball head jig. One day the number was five: bass, perch, crappie, roach and sun fish.
