I have a 200 efi that still has to oiler. It is fouling the plugs if i idle to much. Would it be best to remove oiler and just mix gas? I feel like it is getting to much oil. Thanks

you might wanna get it checked out first.. it takes "A LOTTA OIL" ta foul a plug.. you may have something else goin' on.. ie: tpi, leaky injector, fuel pump diaphragm, etc.....
send me an email address and i'll send ya an oem manual in pdf...

I am running ngk. I clean them though and then check them after I run for a day. They are black and oily. When I changed/ replaced plugs last weekend when I laid the plug down and picked them back up they had dripped oil off the plug. It also boggs a lot of the times when I take off. thanks for the help

Check the oil metering arm where it connects to the oil pump. I have seen several connected wrong. Marks on the pump line up with mark on the linkage when right. Like TLW said check the manual fuel pump diaphragm too.

Considering the motor is over 20 years old the first thing I would check is compression. If its ok Id then check the injectors. If the nozzles are clogged they will not atomize the fuel properly and will contribute to foiled plugs. Very doubtful what your finding on your plugs is oil considering on the old EFIs its mixed with the fuel before its injected in the intake. Wet plugs is generally is generally unburned fuel.

what does it run like, idle, off idle, wot?.. are you lookin' at tha plugs after ya idle a bit or after a wot run?.. drippin' plugs usually are not firin' (electrical) like they should, stuck/nasty injectors, tpi, mechanical pump (diaphragm) etc......
jus doin' it at idle points ta tpi, mech. pump, timin'/switch boxes, nasty injectors...... get it checked since I get tha feelin' you don't wanna mess with it with not being a "simple/easy" fix.............

It seems to idle good just smokes. The compression is all right around 120. It runs out at wot about 5200 rpm with new prop and around 50 mph. I pulled the new plugs Saturday and they didn't have as much oil on them.

when your at idle make sure its trimmed level or tad positive at least.... 5200 is to low for wot.. motor needs ta see 5800 every once ina while......
boat?... prop?... motor height?... offset?

Ok well when i got boat it had a 19 pitch 3 blade prop and was running well over 6000 rpm. I put a 25 pitch 4 blade on it which it what i am using now. It still kinda plows thru water when taking off though. The motor is on a 20ft fiberglass deep v.

19 to 25 prop is a big jump 5200 is low , prop it to 5800 more or less. then if you are running surface gap plugs , ditch em for air gap (stay with NGK)
