I go for the free mini flashlights. Just like all flathead or Phillips head screwdrivers, they sprout legs and run away from where they belong. Plus when I am hunting for something, really hunting hard for an item the guys did not put up where it belongs, I find them a lot easier if I use a flashlight.

I do have a seven function digital multimeter we have never used and is still in its original packaging. I have no idea if it was free at the time or if we purchased it.

i have the 1/4 inch one in black, it was 60 or 70 bucks - 20 percent and it works like it should, it's a couple years old now, it has dies for 1/8th, 3/16th and 1/4 inch rivets
hmm might need to check that out I got manual one that works fine but having to do more than a handful on a job is slow .

Good price on that walrus gutter MBradford. thumb

Best = Table top belt/disc sander combo. And I like their ammo cans and Pittsburgh hand tools for the price.
Worst = Solar Electric Fence charger.

Never ever buy their electric drills, sawzalls, grinders etc. Have a neighbor who does and they are garbage.

I've bought a bunch of stuff from HF. Picked up an angle grinder and a big variable speed polisher/buffer, several years ago, granted they might get used twice a year, they're still working.

No doubt some stuff there is junk. Replacement wheels for dolly's, or "portable" air compressors, trash. 14 or so inch pry bars, trash. Teeth/tips on hand tools, trash.

That add is pretty good, the "how we do it?" is classic!

Best buy was an ocillating saw and the plastic carts . Used often for years and still going.
Worst buy is their 4-1/2 grinders. The switches are junk.

If you have kids that like to "use" your tools then Horror Freight is the best place to buy them.

I've had good luck with their air tools and Predator engines, may buy a big truck mount air compressor on sale right now.

Big hydraulic motorcycle lift table is great for bike, atv and mowers.

Electric tools haven't been too good but I haven't tried their new line.
