I glanced a stump and shortly after my steering started acting funny. It doesn't want to steer to the right, it will go right, but I have to constantly turn the wheel to get it to go right. I have not lost an hydraulic fluid. Any ideas?
Also, it seems to steer fine at idle, or at least it is not as noticeable as when on pad

If you haven't lost any fluid... Could be the seal/plastic thing in the middle of the piston going through your back cylinder. Kinda hard to explain... But I had a steering cylinder that didn't leak fluid, so it wasn't bad seals on the outside, but had that middle divider thing broken. Same thing: took a LOT of turning to get it to move cause fluid was leaking by. Text me at 972-837-9404 and i can send you pics of what I'm talking about

Probably jolted the steering and sucked in some air. Try bleeding the system and make sure all seals are tight.

If piston on shaft inside cylinder(hard plastic material) is broken or seal is no good, no amount of bleeding system will make it work right. It can't produce pressure on one side or the other to move shaft correctly. Its just circulating fluid through to the other side & back to helm pump. Call Ronnie at 817-366-3403. He can get piston & seals to rebuild it. Doesnt take long to do. IF the ID of cylinder is not worn out.

I had something similar; boat would steer OK at idle, but on plane not so much. took it to J&J Marine on 515 and they had me fixed and back out in less than an hour. replaced both seals on the hydraulic steering shaft, and used a machine to bleed the air out of the lines.
probably what happened to you; when you hit something, you damaged the seal on that side and got air in the lines. I'd replace both of them. it's a bit scary when you hit the gas and try to make a turn, and the boat keeps going straight!!
