I will be in Port Aransas for Labor Day weekend from Friday to Tuesday. As hurricane Harvey is closing in, I'm curious what to expect as far as fishing conditions. I'm not really sure of the long term effects of a hurricane on the beach front. Will everything along the coast be pretty much messed up and unfishable? After 4 or 5 days Will things be getting back to normal? Any input would be great as I am an inexperienced salt water fisher and have no idea what a hurricane will do to the waters.

Don't get your hopes up. Everything is going to be torn up for weeks at least. Will really depend on where it lands. Everything north is gonna catch the worst.

Have plans to fish Seadrift same weekend as we will be in Port Lavaca for an event with my wife's family. Not so sure now...
