Just installed my new ulterra 80. The only reason I took off my Minn Kota maxxum 80 was that I wanted the spot lock and deploy/ stow. My maxxum 80 was more than good power wise so I got another one to replace it. These Minn Kota are the bomb. A 20' bass boat jumps with a 80lb tm if you use the big A/C batteries to power it. The trick is the battery size and brand.

If you get a bigger tm you may need a larger set of wires to carry the extra load up front. More amps bigger wires bigger batteries needed. Go big are go home. BOAT

I agree. I have one on a 20ft Bass Cat and it is awesome.
