Hey guys just curious if any of y'all fish lake belton. I've been having some bad luck rod and reel fishing for cats. I It seems I can run a trotline and catch plenty but it's not the same as rod and reel any advice would be much appreciated!!

What kind of cats? Blue cats fish with fresh shad , channel's , chum with sour grain and use punch bait with a bobber , find a Rocky bank with shade .Don't forget the thermocline , no oxygen below it no oxygen no fish .if you have a fish finder find the bait , and the blues will be close by. I hope this helps.

I got ya I dont have any electronics yet so I have no idea how deep the thermocline is I've been trying to go after the bigger blues and flat heads for the blues I've been slipcorking fresh cut and live shad and caught a couple small 12-15 inch ones and the yellows I haven't got anything legal
