Just Registered! I am in like sin! So I do have a question about the rules... they state the following A live well is REQUIRED. Live wells must be adequate enough to care for the trophy size catfish we are targeting. The tournament director will have the final call on all live wells. If the director believes a teams live well is inadequate he reserves the right to remove the team from the tournament. If you have any questions about your live well please contact the tournament direct before the tournament. That is pretty vague. For starters, for most tournaments I have fished, I use my livewell to keep my shad. The fish I catch go on a stringer and are kept in the lake while fishing. They are hauled into the boat and either temporary placed in the live well or a large cooler for transport. I have NEVER had a catfish die on me doing this. Is this not an acceptable method for this tournament>A live well is REQUIRED. Live wells must be adequate enough to care for the trophy size catfish we are targeting. If you have any questions about your live well please contact the tournament direct before the tournament? Second... who, other than a release boat, has a live well suitable for 5 "trophy sized catfish"? I could easily put a 30 lb cat in my live well (which I do not want to do) but not 2 and certainly not 5 of them. Would someone who over stuffs their live-well also be disqualified? does anyone have any info on this they can share?

I can only imagine someone walking up to a Bassmasters weigh inn with their fish on a stringer . No stringers will be allowed, most catfisherman have an external livewell they add to the boat. This can be a tool box, large cooler, large tote or whatever. Some of my old center consoles had large locker stoarge with drain plugs that i converted or fish boxes. Be sure to have a 5 gallon bucket so you can constantly add fresh water!!
I'm gonna miss her....

Ok, next question.... I see the boats will be auctioned off in a calcutta. Does this mean if someone buys your boat and your boat wins 1st place that they get the 1st place prize money? Or is the calcutta portion seperate?

Sorry guys, we are cancelling the calcutta. With amount of teams expected it didnt seem feasable. We are looking at other options as alternative (biggest striper etc...) Of course there is still big fish pot

Is it October yet!?!? I'm glad I just signed up for this a few days ago and not when it was announced! Cant come soon enough! I do have another question about the rules... sorry to be a pain but these things jump out at me. So the rules say Anglers will be allowed to launch on tournament water at 1am tournament morning. No fishing is allowed until 7:00am. Beaching boat is allowed, no one allowed in boat before 1am. Trailering is allowed but later down on the same rules page there is this Participants may fish Possum Kingdom Lake and all of its tributaries. You may not get out of the water and move to another location via trailer. I thought that "trailering" was exactly that... putting your boat on the trailer to move around the lake. I recognize that I might very well be confused. Can anyone clarify?
