Thought I heard them say about the Z bearing that the line spool pin had a special coating and that combined with the new polymer material bushing is what made it a no ball bearing reel.
So it won't be a just dropened in bearing?

That would be interesting since the Trickshop spools would not be compatible.

Hope not because coating of any sort generally wear off in time from friction and debris.

Pretty much wrong on all accounts.

Actually best in show was a stand up paddleboard....the Bote Rover.
Best freshwater reel was a Shimano Curado K.
Best saltwater reel was a Shimano Sustain.

Lews did win the best rod/reel combo with their Mach Crush Speed Spool Combo.

Well shoot me and call me dead---Why on earth would I compare a reel to a paddleboard?? Did a Lew's reel win a Best of Show category?? Yes it did so how was I wrong other than not specifically stating which category!

But... It didn't win a "Best of Show" category.

Lew's won "Best Combo".... but as stated above, Shimano won the reels categories. So I have no idea what you're talking about.

Exactly what I was thinking on both counts.
I'll try to find the video where this was stated.
