A two hour drive to a lake to fish is the easy part. Its the two hour drive home that bites the big one. Yes, this is the hard part for me as well. Thanks for all of the responses as I just wanted to see if I was crazy or not.

2 Hrs gives me more options than I need, generally stay within an hour. I guess if I lived out in the West Texas desert I would drive as far as I had too.

3 hours.. In the same boat at you SkeeterK.. Live in Conroe but road dog to Sam or Toledo at least once a month.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways with a fishing rod in one hand, 10# LMB in the other, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and yelling "Wow! What a Ride!

3 hours if a tournament is involved, no more than an hour for leisure.

mine used to be 3 hrs each way , but one time I made the mistake of fishing 14 hours , then trying to drive home hungry and tried . I then stopped off and had a huge hamburger , fires and chocolate shake to wash it all down ---you guessed it , once that food settled , and I am trying to drive home ---I fall asleep at the wheel , only time I have ever done that and I no longer that 3 hour each trip ---especially by myself .

An hour and a half at the most. If my 2 absolute favorite lake weren't 15 miles south and 13 miles north I may sing a different tune. Yeah I live in winnsboro don't take long to figure that out

About an hour and a half one-way is max for me on a day trip, especially during the hot summer months. The heat drains me and I don't want to get too drowsy driving home.
