Why on earth would you stay away from Diatomaceous Earth? Of everything that was recommended it is the only one that is organic. The type that is needed is not the same type that you use in pools. I have used Diatomaceous Earth befor and even mixed in into my dogs food with no ill effects. The way that it works is it gets in between the exoskeleton and cuts the pest to the point where they die from dehydration.

Diatomaceous earth is not organic. It is sedimentary silicon dioxide.

Diatomaceous earth is made from the fossilized remains of tiny, aquatic organisms called diatoms. Their skeletons are made of a natural substance called silica. Over a long period of time, diatoms accumulated in the sediment of rivers, streams, lakes, and oceans. Today, silica deposits are mined from these areas. Seems pretty organic to me.

Ok, but I disagree.

Arsenic's organic. People just got to stop automatically thinking that "organic" means harmless.

As soon as I hear someone starting to say "organic" my BS detector starts squawking.

"Organic" means "contains carbon". It does not mean "natural" as many people today think.

Silica is not carbon. Fossils, which are made of minerals that replaced organic material, are not organic.

Diatomaceous earth, also known as D.E., diatomite, or kieselgur/kieselguhr, is a naturally occurring, soft, siliceous sedimentary rock that is easily crumbled into a fine white to off-white powder.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diatomaceous_earth

By definition, a fossil is an object that WAS ONCE organic, but has had its organic tissues REPLACED by minerals through a sedimentary and/or crystallization process. Fossils are NO LONGER organic. The process is called permineralization, which creates a mineral cast of the organism.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permineralization

This is really quite basic stuff. Diatomaceous earth is rock in the shape of a diatom that it replaced. That does not mean it's organic. It's silica. Silica is chemically NOT organic.

Canino not arguing the point of the definitions. Simply displaying the baseline.

I could care less about organic stuff. I want poison that kills them and not my dog.

Since you are in Prosper check with D&L in Celina or Preston Trail Farms on 289. Both have a good selection of insecticides.
