Anyone using the Lowrider Salt Series for inshore? I picked up the Flats Class combo, a 7-6 light and 7-6 med action spinning, and somewhat concerned about how light the L action really is... it's rated up to 1/2oz but has a very parabolic curve to it... which I guess I should have expected. Just suprised is all.

I have a medium popper and a Red's casting rod.

Really like them both.

The 7'6" is what I use for the bulk of my plastics. 20# braid and 1/8 oz head, it's been perfect.

You do NOT want or need a stiff rod with jigs, let the rod take some shock out, you'll catch a lot more trout with it.

Sounds good, I will stick with it. I yard tested both and they cast great - thanks.

I use the 7'6" light and it's caught up to 30# jacks numerous times. Great rod. I love it for throwing live shrimp with just a treble and split shot weight

Great, yeah I stopped by local shop today to pick up a few basics and was floored at how many shrimp baits are available. My buddy uses Gulp pretty much all the time but I thought I might try a rigged shrimp ie LiveTarget or Vudo, etc but there must have been 50 different ones on the wall. Overwhelmed for sure lol.
