Monster fish for Kerrville and heck of an accomplishment but I agree. If that fish weighed 10 pounds it would be the longest bass of all time.

Looks like a snake. Probably has a gutful of plastic knotting up its digestive system.

I wasn't there to see it weighed. I asked this morning and that was his response so who knows. All I know is the fish is massive and looks extremely long. It's why I posed the question to all of the TFF "experts". Hahahaha. Sure would like to see that thing each about 15 perch then be full of eggs next March. I'm going to personally try to find the exact pond it came from and see what I can do to get some bait fish in there.

I'd guess 26 1/2- 27". I'm surprised how thick the tail is for being that skinny. I bet it's an old fish. Congrats to your buddy's son! Still a great fish! Did they weigh it? Probably about 7lbs. This. I caught one like that, long and big-headed, a few years ago. It went 9.5lbs, found it dead a couple days later in the pond.
