Lake Palestine | Monday & Tuesday
Monday was Dallas fireman Corey and his wife Sharon. Corey doesn't have much time off, but he finally had a day off and wanted to do some crappie fishing. The day started a little slow but they managed there two man limit, 50 crappie!
Today was Jason and his dad Lonnie. Jason booked a trip for his dads 63rd birthday. He was the class of '72 Captain Wildcat Linebacker. We battled the 20mph winds and waves. We worked for them and stuck with it.
These guys were anxious to get on the water with their new Pro Angler Tackle rods and give them a workout. And boy did they! They boated a two man limit, 50 crappie!
Unexpected
Today I was going to fish with some friends. But some things came up and we had to postpone. This morning a good friend called unexpectedly, Shane wanted to take his grandfather Jim fishing somewhere.
Because of the winds and didn't want his grandfather in a rough boat ride. I told him i have little lake we could fish back in the sticks in East Texas. But i haven't been on it in over two years, and he said let's give it a try.
We had a late start but the first stop was over 30 fish. I really enjoyed these guys company today and had a great time.
These guys boated some nice monster slabs today. Boated 100+ crappie. Had three fish well over two pounds. And a few at a pound and three quarters.
The guys ended the day with a Two Man Limit, 50 Crappie!

Friday was Mike and Amanda. Today was a lot different than previous trips. The bite was very very slow and hard to get a bite. The fish were there just could not get them to bite. A lot of running and gunning today, but stuck with it and worked for them.
This couple works for the Lake View News that's circulated around Lake Palestine.
Amanda loves to fish but does not like touching fish. So i held her crappie. lol
Finished the day with two man limit, 50 crappie!
We have Friday May 26th and Saturday May 27th Open!
