That Sucks!
DryCase.com for the future phone of yours.
It will hang around your neck and you can still use it. Simply a suggestion. I have been lazy and not been putting mine in my bag, but after reading your post I think that will change tomorrow effective immediately.
I am going to be learning from your misfortune.
I can also highly recommend their backpack. It is waterproof and I keep a ton of stuff in mine. I have the Camouflage version.
Glen Schmidt and my number is 214-264-3232.
Sorry that happened to you bud.

I rode over the 515 bridge yesterday to eat at AJ's, lots of water! The phone is deep! No phone cover will help unless it floats.

Fishin' to stock Lake Crisco.

Captain, how about the website for that company. I was mistaken, it is Dry-Pak. Got it off of Amazon, but I've seen it or others like it in local places too. Doesn't say in the description that it will float. I sure thought it did. Dry Pak DP-48W White/Gray 4" x 8" Cell Phone Case https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B5UFBFS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_hW8ezbY5MWCRK

UPDATE:
I got a bigger phone than I had before so the dry case that I have is going to my dad because he has my old phone so I know it fits.
Go to Amazon and type in Cali Case Extra Large Waterproof and it will pull up the new bag I just ordered. I got the Yellow Glow In The Dark which is neon green. They have like 17 colors to pick from. It is waterproof and supposedly floats too. Will see how it goes after I get it.

Crope1, Sorry about that. Hopefully, it will be money well spent. Like I stated, I have always had a dry case for my phone, but I have been lazy about utilizing it. After Jason's post it was a wake up call for me. When I went to use my dry case the very next day after Jason's post I realized my new phone was too big for the Dry Case and I was going to need something bigger. I bought that dry case probably 3-4 years ago. I recently bought from drycase.com one of their waterproof backpacks in camouflage for $119 and I am very happy with it. I was very happy with my Drycase bag for my phone too. I just have a bigger phone now is all. So, after doing some research I ordered the Cali Case "EXTRA LARGE" waterproof case in Glow in the Dark Yellow off Amazon $15.99. It showed up yesterday and I am impressed. The larger bag is just what I was looking for and I plan on using it my next fishing trip. I figure the $15.99 insurance is money well spent versus having to replace a phone not to mention the time in setting it back up even if it was all stored in the cloud...still takes time. But I know you are just giving me a hard time. Let me know what you think JASON when you get yours. By the way for those that have small phones and small or no cases on their phone order the Universal Size and not the extra Large. I have an iPhone 6S with a battery pack case which makes it thick and why I needed the bigger bag.

Jason, most of us do stupid things. I was fishing a boat house and cast a jig , maybe 5 cents, and was attempting to get my boat started sliding away and I was parallel to the water. Lost special sunglasses, iphone, wallet was wet, hearing aids. life jacket worked just had to replace the water gadget for next time. Very expensive..
Using the site for a while...this is really great to share fishing ideas and success with others.

Don't forget to back up you phone My neighbor has all his business contacts in his phone, gets real nervous if you hold his phone over the water. I should be a friend and set his phone for automatic backups. Mo
