I'm looking for others with a similar set up to get opinions on the best prop.

1996 Ranger 362 XT with a 175 mercury efi sitting on a 10" jackplate.

Boat came with a 25p tempest on it and I am less than impressed with the hole shot.

On the recommendation of a mechanic picked up a 21p Enertia which I ran for all of 15 minutes on the boat because I hated it. Hole shot definitely improved, but all other performance suffered greatly.

On the tempest were at: 5600 rpms (WOT) - 66.8 on GPS

Eneertia - 5600 rpms (had some throttle left - but didn't want to over rev or push it too hard) - 53.1 on GPS - not to mention I'm sure it was sucking fuel at slower speeds. The Enertia also loses its bite at about 23 mph whereas I could hold it on plane down to about 18 with the tempest (which makes no sense to me since the Enertia should technically keep it on plane at lower speeds better).

Any thoughts? Drop to a 23 or 24 tempest? Go with a Fury? Open to any and all opinions!

4 blade 24P Trophy might do but lose some top end. Ranger is a heavy boat and about any good hole shot prop is gonna cost you some top end. My brother ran a High 5 23p on his ranger 362 with a 175 EFI Merc. It ran about 60mph at redline but handled awesome. He had no jack plate.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

You need a 25 Tempest Plus or find someone that can drill your Tempest. Start small.

Go down to a 23 tempest then get it worked. The hole shot will be there but you will need some custom work to control the rpm's.
