cheers Sometimes when I get home, I have to move the stack out the way to get in. We do a lot of the kids clothes shopping on there.

You would have a very tough time trying to convince me that Prime is not an excellant money saver

Now if I could just establish a good used box market.....`

LOVE Prime, I have been using it since they introduced it wayyyy back in like 2004? Maybe 2005? Anyhow now I live in a super rural area and depend on it for a lot of my shopping, especially at Xmas. I use Prime Pantry a lot bc I hate Wal MArt even more than having to drive to Wal Mart in Sulphur Springs (25+miles) and Brookshires doesn't always have good deals on basic items.

Been awhile since I have been in that direction but wouldn't the Walmart in Mineola be closer than Sulphur Springs?

I get a student discount since I'm taking grad school classes. For $49, it's fine. For $99, I'd pass. Did the trial a few years ago and decided to skip the paid version. I probably make up $49 in shipping every year, so I basically get the stuff shipped in 2 days instead of 2 weeks for free. I do not use any of the streaming content. We have a low data limit on our phones and I have 2 young kids, so I'm too busy for any of that stuff when I'm on wifi anyway.

Also, some low-cost stuff isn't eligible for free shipping until you hit $40 or something like that. With Prime, as long as it isn't an "add-on" item, it ships free 2-day regardless of how big your order is.

I agree that I often get stuff that I would grab at the local store otherwise. Saves a trip and shows up quick, which is nice.

Yep this happens. I buy everything from socks to light bulbs on Prime. Sure beats going shopping. Had to get some parts for my 250 Merc for spring maintenance the other day, just open a cold one and sit down at the computer, 1 click and the stuff was on my doorstep in 2 days. It's addictive...

Cheers, cheers

I just plan ahead and accumulate enough stuff for free shipping. Prime would never pay back for me.
